The fan in the motors eventually melted so this wasn't very good modification either. 7 cell packs too much for motor.

I sew a pair of soda-straws to a small cloth and i think it was the heat that actually kept the components dry. The black spot is the motors "exhaust" or oil plus brush particles i bet. If the picture was clearer you'd see the cloth have brown spots because of the heat. You can also see the plastic around the receiver/RX box.

mounting places for the cloth cover, and some blue loctite silicon rubber for the gearing servo.
