C50 Waterproof

Waterproofing an E-Maxx with hacker brushless motor and ESC.

Warning: This is stupid don't do this. You have been warned.

This modification didn't work out very good, I have some wierd symptoms and I'm in contact with Hacker. The ESC is probably broken and I doubt I get any warranty for all that snow and pond bashing lol

To get it open I unscrewed the small black screws around the "lid" and mounted the motor. Then carefully forcing the barrel off and you see the lid still in place on the transmission box.

Then I added some blue lock-tite around the lid. I don't know if it will open again.

for the other end of the barrel I just taped around with some masking tape. And some blue silicone rubber stuff around the wiring entrance

First I put some blue rubber silicone glue stuff around the edges and in/around the wiring and capacitors. It didn't seem to be 100% becuase of cracks between the rubber and wiring because the wiring moved. So I poured some Ofna silicone diff-lock oil here and there (THIS WHAT MAYBE BROKE THE ESC!)

Two balloons around the receiver and seal off with that white silicon-based goop used between heatsinks and hot processors. It was sticky and didn't blend with water or drip away. The battery pack eventually got balloons and "CPU goop" too. The white plug is a molex plug from a Zalman fan resistor.

Here I had to go back to stock tires as the Maxx Bow Ties could barely get a grip in the snow. One time the front diff broke and I found out two-wheel drive is mostly pointless on snow and ice.
