E-Maxx upgrade history

Green Noob
It all began with the non-wide E-Maxx. It was fun and very much torque, instant spinning on gravel.

"An honorable mention has to go out to the 14cell twin "Titan" motor E-Maxx who gave this beast its only real competition in the event."

Waterproofed
Upgrade to WideMaxx and 14cells. Then I followed some advice and tried to waterproof it. It worked great until the hot titans melted. Maybe the advice wasn't for people running 14 cells lol. That black residue is probably the commutators wearing down and stuffing the rotor up. You can't see it on the picture but the cloth became brownish from the Titan heat. What a mess.

Brushless Upgrade
Brushless! And not any brushless, the hot (very literal) C50 Maxx. Hand-wound for efficiency and the fastest motor for 12cells. Dumb me waterproofed the batteries but they got very hot and lost lifetime, and it's not any point in waterproofing NiMh cells. The volt is too low...

Light yet Powerful
I went down to 12 cells with two 6cell 1.18v fusion packs, added a front bumper and top bumper and got a very light, very fast and very tough E-Maxx. I switched from a 6v Battery pack to a 6v BEC. Light and supposedly waterproof, but stuck in a balloon for an ounce of precaution as they say. Maybe a good thing because the Schulze 1897KWF SuperMaxx wasn't as waterproof as the specifications said after all... The batteries aren't waterproofed at all, and they go just fine in snow getting all wet. If shrink-wrapped they might trap water and promote rusting. Careful 15/72 gearing. The motor gets really hot and this thing has more power then I need.

Performance: It screams. I rarely drive it in 2nd because it's so fast I can't even control it in 1st when I give more then 70% throttle. I get wheelies at 1/3rd throttle in 2nd. This is brushless C50 and strong batteries and a very light car that means a lot of torque so I can punch it right before a jump and launch it 25'. I can make it spin instantly and turn on a dime. All this with no-mantainance conviniency.

Revo Dream
Light, strong and maintainance-free drive-train, in-board shock cantilever with extreme suspention travel, low center gravity semi-monoqocue chassis, sealed pivot balls, sealed differentials etc. Convert it to Brushless LiPo and you got extreme torque and instant accelleration in the best truck ever! Halleluja!
