The faster CPU and Optane 905P SSD makes a difference but the slowest factor is the Asus Rampage V Extreme. It has many features and that makes it post and boot slowly, even without memory training.

Here I filmed my PCs loading Satellite Reign. Even though I use the very same Samsung 850 EVO SATA SSD, the new system is considerably faster. I’ve seen this in other games too, maybe I’ll make more game loading time videos.

Found me in Satellite Reign
I found myself in Satellite Reign. In the game, you can hijack NPCs and use them as cloning templates. There was 15.000 backers for this game, so there is 15.000 NPCs. That means finding yourself is not quick at all, if I’m correct.

Shortcut overlay icon
Here’s a shortcut overlay icon I made. I don’t like the default Windows one.
1. Right click the picture below and save as.
2. Copy the file to C:\Windows
3. Run this registry file
4. Reboot

E-Maxx slow motion Lutvann snow compilation
I used a Samsung Galaxy S7 cell phone to record and edit some slow motion videos of my old E-Maxx. The S7 supports 720p 240FPS which is very good, as most cameras do not. I have a waterproof ESC and hard case lithium batteries so it is virtually waterproof.

I built this system for Christmas. I knew broadwell-e was right around the corner but I wasn’t sure how much it would OC and I wanted a new PC for christmas. So far it is all good, the new Broadwell-E i7-6950X is very expensive and doesn’t overclock as well as i7-5960X.
