It was raining so there’s a drop on its head. I used a strong camera flash and low ISO so the background became dark.
Green sprout drop Yummy Heaven shines through refraction
I placed a water drop on a green sprout and a Yummy Heaven candy bag behind and this is the result. I also took several pictures and focus stacked them so the entire plant is in focus.

I don’t know what they are called but they are pretty with some HDR tone mapping.

Branches of a tree near Dr. Dedichens park. I took three pictures with different exposure and blended them together in Photomatix. This way I can bring forward both the sky and the darker tree trunks.
Marmalade hoverfly on pink flower macro photo
I caught a hoverfly on a pink flower. I used manual focus and focus highlights and took several shots and one came out very good. I forgot to set shutter speed to 1/160 so the edge of its eyes are a bit ghosted.
Mother’s day flower bouquet shining through a drop of water
I placed a drop of water on a leaf and a Mother’s day bouquet behind. I then focused on the refracting flowers shining through the drop. Taken with a Sony A7C and a Laowa 85mm macro lens.
